Why do we call it "The 4th of July"?

I mean, that's pretty obvious, yes, it is in fact the 4th of July. Why not say "Happy Independence Day!" or if that was too long, "Happy Freedom Day" or "Happy Liberty Day!"

We don't say "Happy December 25th!" Or "Happy January 1st!" Every other holiday has a name that we use. So why is it that we simply state the date as a holiday?
