I had a really nice, long rant, but in lieu of that, I'll just say this:

We're our own dog gone family unit, so start treating us like one rather than children who just happen to live outside of the house. We have things to do on weekends, you know - friends, obligations, stuff like that. So you can't, and I quote, "expect" us to show up to every. single. one. of your family gatherings. You're lucky you get us for every friggin holiday, because if it were up to me...

(and if this means I have to get Matt his own cell phone even though your plan isn't up for another 7 or 8 months to SHOW you that I mean business - so be it!)
